Rick Lamb

Rick Lamb is a singer–songwriter from the heart of “The Ozarks” in Missouri. A
former U.S. Navy Veteran of ten years, he has had the luxury of sailing to all
parts of the world while sharing those tales of the sea as a “Modern Day Sailor”
through his songs as the leader of the high energy, “Trop Rock” band, Cruize
Control. Rick Lamb and The Cruize Control Band have been labeled the “true
rockers” of the Trop Rock genre as they bring a diverse mix of rock and reggae
along with just about any cover artist you want to hear. Rick Lamb has an
arsenal of cover music along with some Jimmy .Buffett covers that you will find
very close to the originals. He has performed as a solo artist for the
past 15 years and formed Cruize Control in 2006, where he has spent most of his
time in the Midwestern U.S. and has traveled the country from New York to
Wyoming and all the way South to Florida as well as internationally in Punta
Cana, Dominican Republic. A favorite of parrot heads, they are about to
release their second CD "All Hands On Deck" as a follow up to their 2009, debut
CD, “Red Sky At Night".
Rick Lamb and The Cruize Control Band has has played at many Parrot Head events
including PHlock At The Rock, MOKSAROK PHloat Trip, Parrothead Rendezvous
(Panama City, FL) and many other PHlockings around the country. Rick's song
"Come Live The Islands" was a Trop Rock nominee in 2010. Rick's shows are
entertaining and more than likely you’ll end up on the dance floor before the

“Blame it on the Rum” a track from his Life in the Laid Back Lane CD was written
and recorded for the Paramount movie “The Firm” filmed on location at the Hyatt
in Grand Cayman, and James has a small cameo appearance in the film.

Mile Beach. He has been a regular in Radio Margaritaville’s line-up since then.
