Rick Lamb
Nixa, MO

Rick Lamb is a singer–songwriter from the heart of “The Ozarks” in Missouri. A former U.S. Navy Veteran of ten years, he has had the luxury of sailing to all parts of the world while sharing those tales of the sea as a “Modern Day Sailor” through his songs as the leader of the high energy, “Trop Rock” band, Cruize Control.  Rick Lamb and The Cruize Control Band have been labeled the “true rockers” of the Trop Rock genre as they bring a diverse mix of rock and reggae along with just about any cover artist you want to hear.  Rick Lamb has an arsenal of cover music along with some Jimmy .Buffett covers that you will find very close to the originals.  He has performed as a solo artist for the past 15 years and formed Cruize Control in 2006, where he has spent most of his time in the Midwestern U.S. and has traveled the country from New York to Wyoming and all the way South to Florida as well as internationally in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.  A favorite of parrot heads, they are about to release their second CD "All Hands On Deck" as a follow up to their 2009, debut CD, “Red Sky At Night".

Rick Lamb and The Cruize Control Band has has played at many Parrot Head events including PHlock At The Rock, MOKSAROK PHloat Trip, Parrothead Rendezvous (Panama City, FL) and many other PHlockings around the country. Rick's song "Come Live The Islands" was a Trop Rock nominee in 2010. Rick's shows are entertaining and more than likely you’ll end up on the dance floor before the performance is over.

James "Sunny Jim" White
Osprey, FL

James "Sunny Jim" White is a singer/songwriter whose original songs are inspired by love, life in the Caribbean and the interesting people who frequent the islands. His light-hearted approach and clever interpretation have earned him a loyal following across the U.S. especially among those who appreciate the tropical lifestyle. Sunny Jim’s songs are often heard on Jimmy Buffett’s Radio Margaritaville, broadcasted on Sirius Satellite Radio.  With the recent release of Flotsam and Jetsam, James White’s collection of self-published music includes 9 studio CDs and three live recordings.

James writes what he knows.
In 1988 a temporary band gig took him to Grand Cayman where he enthusiastically embraced the laidback island lifestyle, and picked up the moniker "Sunny Jim" from a band mate. When the band returned to Nashville, James stayed on as the artist-in-residence at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cayman, one of the finest resorts in the Caribbean. Cayman is a crossroads for travelers from all over the world, and Sunny Jim met real characters that have ended up in his songs.

“Blame it on the Rum” a track from his Life in the Laid Back Lane CD was written and recorded for the Paramount movie “The Firm” filmed on location at the Hyatt in Grand Cayman, and James has a small cameo appearance in the film.
In 1998 Radio Margaritaville traveled to Grand Cayman to broadcast James White’s show live online from Seven Mile Beach. He has been a regular in Radio Margaritaville’s line-up since then.

Sunny Jim is an 8-time Trop Rock Music Association award winner. He has been recognized as Male Vocalist of the Year each year from 2008 – 2012. In 2010 and 2012 he was honored as Musician of the Year, and his CD KISS was selected as Troprock CD of the year in 2011. James is also invited to perform at the annual "Meeting of the Minds," national Parrot Head Convention in Key West, FL.  His invitational Sunday Songwriter's Showcase at the famous Blue Heaven Restaurant has become a "must-attend" event to wrap up a wild weekend in Key West. Sunny Jim has also been hosting the annual Six String Music Festival in New Orleans for 10 years.

James White is currently at home on the Gulf Coast of Southwest Florida residing in Osprey, FL., but he maintains strong ties to the Cayman Islands. A versatile entertainer and musician, Sunny Jim is available for events large and small. From wild Parrot Head parties to intimate backyard and house concerts, James White is “living what he loves and loving what he Lives”.
